APD has not released the circumstances surrounding Cerezo’s death, except to say that he was “fatally struck by a vehicle.”

A 13-year-old boy was stabbed in the bathroom of a McDonald’s restaurant near the Alexandria border on Saturday night.

The incident occurred at around 6:50 p.m. in the McDonald’s at 6302 Little River Turnpike, which is in Fairfax County. The Fairfax County Police Department found a grisly scene in the men’s bathroom.

A man walked into the bank sometime after 11 a.m. and handed the teller a note with a bomb threat, according to scanner traffic.

Two men are being held without bond on multiple charges after allegedly fleeing police, crashing into a light pole and being chased on foot near Alexandria City High School.

The incident occurred at around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9. An Alexandria Police Department officer tried to pull over a 2004 maroon-colored Chevy Impala whose driver had a suspended license, according to a recently released search warrant affidavit.

Two Alexandria brothers were hospitalized with serious injuries after a fight in the West End earlier this month, and one of them was charged with aggravated malicious wounding.

The Alexandria Police Department responded to a stabbing call for service at an apartment in the 500 block of N. Armistead Street on Sunday, July 7. Police arrived and found the brothers on the floor of the apartment, according to a recently released search warrant affidavit.

Police are investigating an attempted robbery at the Tobacco King (3104 Duke Street) last night (Monday) after an employee stared down a man with a gun and then chased him out of the store.

Surveillance video obtained by ALXnow showed a man entering the store around 9:35 p.m., inquiring about various brands, and then demanding that the cashier hand over the money. In the video, the cashier said he didn’t have cash and the robber threatened him with a gun.

A woman was pepper sprayed at the Safeway at 500 S. Royal Street on Saturday night (June 29) while attempting to stop two alleged shoplifters.

The Alexandria Police Department said that the 40-year-old victim tried to intervene when two female suspects attempted to leave the store without paying. One of the suspects then sprayed the woman in the face.
