More details have been released regarding an alleged sexual battery last month that put a Lyft driver behind bars without bond.

The victim told police that she was drunk when Lyft driver Ahmad Reshad Nasseri picked her up in his red Toyota Highlander outside a D.C. restaurant on Friday, July 19, according to a recently released search warrant affidavit.

It was around 2:15 a.m. and her destination was the Van Dorn Metro station.

The victim told police on July 20 that during the ride Nasseri asked her how she got so drunk, whether there was anyone at her house and if “she wanted to go to his place or if she wanted to go home,” according to the search warrant affidavit.

The victim said that at one point she vomited outside the vehicle, and that Nasseri held her forehead. She then said she was led to the bed at his apartment in the 5000 block of Seminary Road where she was repeatedly sexually assaulted.

The victim said that she woke up at some point next to Nasseri in his bed. She said that she asked where her phone was, and that he said it was in his car. She said she asked Nasseri to take her home. He gave her her phone from inside his car and drove her to the Van Dorn Metro station.

Police reviewed video from Nasseri’s West End apartment and saw footage of him and the victim leaving at around 6:15 a.m., according to the search warrant affidavit.

“It appeared [the victim] stayed several feet away from Mr. Nasseri as they exited the building and did not appear to have any conversation,” police said in the search warrant affidavit.

Police identified Nasseri after the victim provided information on her ride from Lyft.

Nasserti was arrested July 28 near his red Toyota Highlander and told police that he used the car to drive for the rideshare company, according to the search warrant affidavit.

Nasseri was charged with aggravated sexual battery, a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $100,000. He goes to court on Aug. 28.
