A 34-year-old D.C. man was held without bond in the Alexandria jail for 18 days last month for allegedly dropping off a friend at the jail in a stolen car with an illegal firearm.

On June 3, the Alexandria Police Department used a GPS to find a red Ford Mustang with North Carolina license plates parked near the front gate of the William G. Truesdale Adult Detention Center (2001 Mill Road), according to a recently released search warrant affidavit.

Two Alexandria teens have been charged after an 18-year-old was stabbed, tased and beaten in a West End parking lot last month, according to the Alexandria Police Department.

The 16 and 17-year-old suspects were charged with malicious wounding by mob and destruction of property after the May 12 (Sunday) incident that left the 18-year-old victim with a knife wound to his leg.

Alexandria Police say that no one was arrested after a man was shot in the hand in Arlandria on Friday night, May 31.

APD responded to multiple calls for shots fired at around 9 p.m. and found shell casings on the ground, according to police dispatches. Callers reported to police hearing between six-to-seven gunshots.

Four suspects were arrested on Memorial Day after allegedly robbing a Virginia ABC store in the West End, fleeing in a stolen car and then crashing into multiple cars before being arrested on foot in Del Ray.

The Alexandria Police Department notified dispatch of a stolen white Hyundai Elantra traveling northbound on Quaker Lane and Seminary Road. The Elantra with Maryland tags was stolen out of Prince George’s County, and crashed into a parked vehicle a mile-and-a-half later at Fontaine Street and W. Braddock Road.

An inmate at the Alexandria jail is being held without bond after allegedly assaulting his court-appointed attorney during his arraignment on Thursday morning, according to the Alexandria Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect allegedly assaulted his attorney in a conference room during his video arraignment, according to ASO. The attorney was treated at the scene and declined to press charges.

Alexandria resident David Marshall, 57, has been arrested on felony and misdemeanor charges for allegedly assaulting law enforcement during the Jan. 6 riot in 2021.

Marshall was arrested on May 1 for multiple alleged assaults on law enforcement officers and on a member of the news media, according to the Department of Justice.

A Hyattsville man suspected of stealing thousands worth of cosmetic items from multiple CVS stores in Alexandria was arrested with two others in Maryland earlier this month.

The three Maryland men are suspected of stealing more than $100,000 in merchandise from Target and other stores throughout the region and were arrested on April 19 by a deputy from the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office. They were charged with grand larceny, possession of stolen goods with the intent to sell and conspiracy to commit retail theft of more than $50,000 in five days.

A 41-year-old Maryland man is being held without bond after allegedly executing the family dog in a fit of rage, according to a recently released search warrant affidavit.

The incident occurred on Feb. 25 in an apartment in the 4300 block of Raleigh Avenue, which is near the Shoppes of Foxchase on Duke Street.

A 47-year-old Alexandria man was charged with forcible sodomy and attempted rape against a woman in her Old Town apartment on Sunday.

The Alexandria Police Department said that the victim knows the suspect, but did not go further except to say that Antuan Bostick was arrested at around 8:10 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, after a neighbor called 911. The neighbor told the dispatcher that she could hear the victim screaming for help for up to five minutes.

The mother of the child who brought a gun to Lyles-Crouch Traditional Academy in Old Town last month has been arrested and charged with allowing access of firearms to children.

The child went to school (530 S. St. Asaph Street) on March 1 with the wrong backpack and discovered the handgun in the bag and reported it to their teacher.

An Alexandria man has been charged after allegedly trying to bring a loaded gun onto a flight at National Airport over Easter weekend.

TSA officers detected the gun at a security checkpoint and airport police confiscated it.
