An overturned vehicle was shut down E. Glebe Road in the Lynhaven neighborhood near Potomac Yard.
There’s no information yet on what led to the overturning, but the incident shut down a section of E. Glebe Road between Montrose Street and Richmond Highway. One parked vehicle was also struck.

(Updated 6:20 p.m.) After a few years on backburner, plans to remediate and redevelop Vulcan Materials — an industrial site near the Van Dorn Metro station — could be reheating.
An application filed by the Lennar Corporation and Potomac Land Group II LLC with the City of Alexandria calls for the remediation of the existing site to create a new mixed-use development. The new project features a hotel facing S. Van Dorn Street, retail, condominiums, townhouses, two-over-two units and a six-acre park along Backlick Run dedicated to the city.
The Alexandria Health Department is warning residents of the potential for a measles outbreak, after another traveler with the viral infection was reported at Washington Dulles International Airport last month.
The Virginia Department of Health reported the potential exposure at Dulles and at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport on Jan. 3 and Jan. 4, and a notice was released by the Maryland Department of Health of another exposure at Dulles airport on Jan. 27.
The Alexandria Police Department launched a manhunt this weekend for a suspect who allegedly attacked a woman in the Potomac Yard neighborhood and tried to pull her into an alley.
Police said the suspect attacked a person around Main Line Blvd. but was able to get away. Police are seeking camera footage from neighbors or information from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious. Tips can be called in at 703 746 4444.

There was a big piece of development news in Alexandria and, for the first time, it felt like it wasn’t about the Potomac Yard arena.
The Robinson Terminal North project has been a thorn in the side of the city’s ambition to have a contiguous waterfront. Now, that industrial block could see redevelopment as a site with public waterfront access.
