Trinity United Methodist Church will celebrate a unique milestone next month — turning 250 years old.

The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria’s (AWLA) Paws in the Park earlier this month was a huge success, raising over $100,000 for the local animal shelter.
The event on Sunday, Oct. 13, featured 4,000 attendees along with their pets. The event is a free annual event that also serves as the city’s biggest animal adoption event and a huge fundraiser for AWLA.
