There’s pawsitive news for dog owners: Alexandrians can officially adopt more than three dogs.

At a City Council meeting this weekend, the city amended its ordinance to increase the limit on the number of dogs per dwelling unit from three to five.

Sarah Bagley says that Alexandria residents have invested time and energy into making her an effective member of the Alexandria City Council, and she says she’s running for reelection to honor that investment.

The City of Alexandria wants Old Town residents to make some noise.

The Alexandria is hosting a virtual open house this month to discuss South of Airport Noise Mitigation Project, a project aimed at developing recommendations to modify flight procedures to reduce aircraft noise impacts on communities south of National Airport.

“Architectural Digest out here just telling bold face lies,” one commentor said, while another called King Street the jewel of the city.

Two Alexandria teens have been charged after an 18-year-old was stabbed, tased and beaten in a West End parking lot last month, according to the Alexandria Police Department.

The 16 and 17-year-old suspects were charged with malicious wounding by mob and destruction of property after the May 12 (Sunday) incident that left the 18-year-old victim with a knife wound to his leg.

The Alexandria Police Department says that the man who died of a gunshot wound early Wednesday morning in the Inova Alexandria Hospital parking lot was shot in D.C. and has turned the investigation over to the Metropolitan Police Department.

APD also canceled the “be-on-the-lookout” alert for the dark gray four-door Mercedes that dropped off the victim at around 2 a.m. in the parking lot of Inova Alexandria Hospital (4320 Seminary Road). He was found suffering outside the hospital entrance at around 3 a.m. and died while being treated by hospital staff.
