As noted above, the National Weather Forecast says Alexandria is likely to see snow again tonight.

This comes less than a week after a snowstorm on Sunday and Monday shut down schools, trash collection and more for several days in Alexandria.

Alexandria saw between 7.5-9 inches of snow around earlier, but the forecast says the snowfall tonight is likely to be much lighter — 1 to 2 inches. Given that it’s forecast to clear up by Saturday afternoon, it’s unlikely it will impact schools or other services next week.

At least one event, the Alexandria Health Department’s ‘Walk and Talk‘, has been pushed to next week on account of the snow.

After the snow tonight, the forecast shows a mostly clear (but chilly) next week, with daytime temperatures ranging from 38 degrees down to 27. Even so, it’s likely to be sunny or partly cloudy for most of the week.
