Notes: Alexandria brewery releases new beer named for local Olympic champion

Atlas Brew Works is debuting two new beers and one is named after a hometown hero who won a gold medal at the Olympics.

Alexandria Living Magazine reported that the Alexandria branch of Atlas is set to release its first special releases: the Noah Lyles 100m Gold Ale and the Sidewater IPA.

According to a social media post:

Named for Alexandria’s hometown Olympic hero, the Noah Lyles 100m Golden Ale has subtle hints of melon and strawberry. Stop into the taproom to honor the fastest man in the world with this 4.1% ABV drinkable delight before it’s gone!⁠
Atlas ALX’s first in-house IPA, Tidewater, comes in at 5.2% ABV, and is super hoppy with notes of tropical fruit, red berries, and bubblegum
