Eries Interiors, a new shop focusing on interior design and home decor, is opening today in Old Town.

The new shop is at 101 S. St Asaph Street just south of King Street, between Bluemercury and Madame Coco. The store is named after the Erie Canal near where co-founders Jessica Moak and Elena Rall grew up.

The shop focuses on original artwork, home decor and housewares, with a range of styles from early 20th century brass to mid-century modern furnishing, according to a release.

“I’ve aspired to bring this vision to life in our beautiful community since moving to Old Town over a decade ago,” Moak in a release. “This is a diverse and eclectic town that celebrates sincerity in artistry and craftsmanship. Each Eries piece has been selected to honor these values and the people of Alexandria.”

The shop will also take commissions to create pieces to match a particular space.

“Old Town Alexandria is known for its rich history and cultural vibrancy,” Rall said in the release. “We’re excited to contribute to this one of a kind community by offering a space where art and lifestyle converge to create something uniquely beautiful.”
