PHOTOS: See the newly renovated ‘Trademark Restaurant’ in The Westin Old Town Alexandria

After a month-long renovation, The Westin Alexandria Old Town has reopened its Trademark Restaurant.

The renovations at 2080 Jamieson Avenue include a standout central bar, a new café space, a semi-private dining room and a dog-friendly street-side patio. There’s also a new menu featuring American and French fare.

“The design reflects classic Mid-Atlantic eateries with a nod to Parisian cafés featuring soft grey velvet furnishings, curved banquettes, warm metal accents, and pops of rust and blue,” The Westin Old Town Alexandria said in a release. “Classic marble with geometric black and white tiles highlights the back bar and newly added coffee bar. The dining room seats 86 and the bar seats 26, with the new coffee bar seating 22.”

The restaurant was designed by D.C.-based OTJ Architects and was led by Elizabeth Long, the company’s senior principal and operations manager.

The new menu from Chef Matthew Miller features local ingredients unique to the Mid-Atlantic and the Chesapeake Bay.

According to Westin Hotels and Resorts:

Serving three meals a day, a sense of place will be evident throughout, as illustrated by the Virginia Ham Breakfast Handheld with organic scrambled eggs, Shenandoah Cheddar, Virginia ham, and bacon jam; Southern Pimento Cheese with multi-seed lavash crackers and chive dust; Grilled Brie with Virginia plum jam, almonds and local honey; Chesapeake Stew with mussels, clams, rockfish, shrimp, fennel, and tomato broth; Grilled Virginia Cider Pork Chop marinated in local Lost Boy cider, served with roasted Thumbelina carrots, and potato gratin.

The stand-alone café space built off the bar will be serving specialty La Colombe coffee and espresso drinks, with unlimited refills on drip coffee, in addition to pastries and the signature Trademark x La Colombe Espresso Tonic Romano with Nizza espresso, Mediterranean tonic water, and lemon essence.

New favorites for brunch, which will launch at the end of October, will include savory or sweet Brunch Boards; the signature Bloody Mary Trio (traditional, Potomac Blonde Michelada, and Verde Maria); and a rotating partnership with local specialty bakeries for seasonal pastries. New to the lunch menu is the TM Express three-course lunch for a fast but satisfying lunch with a choice of soup or salad, sandwich or entrée salad, and ice cream or cookie. The restaurant celebrates happy hour with a selection of complimentary house-made savory popcorns, from buffalo cheddar to Chesapeake Bay flavors, and “yappy hour” will also happen daily with a complimentary treat for every four-legged companion once the new dog-friendly patio opens
