A man from D.C. has been sentenced to 10 years in prison, five months after pleading guilty to the 2024 abduction and attempted rape of a woman in Potomac Yard.
Dykwon Perry Davis, 27, was sentenced to 10 years of active incarceration, after pleading guilty in August. The incident occurred in the 2200 block of Main Line Blvd in the early hours of Feb. 3, 2024, when Davis attacked the woman, tried to pull her into an alley and take off her pants.

A 26-year-old Washington, D.C. man has pleaded guilty to felony charges related to the attempted abduction and rape of a woman in Alexandria’s Potomac Yard neighborhood.
Dykwon Perry Davis pleaded guilty in Alexandria Circuit Court on August 7, 2025, to abduction with the intent to defile and attempted rape for the incident, which occurred on February 3, 2024. He faces up to life in prison for the abduction charge, and a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison for the rape charge, according to a press release from Commonwealth’s Attorney Bryan Porter.
More details have been released on the apprehension of the suspect in the alleged abduction and sexual assault of two women near two Alexandria Metro stations on May 30.
One of the incidents occurred near the Braddock Road Metro station, and the victim told police she was followed out of the station by a man, grabbed from behind, and wrestled on the ground. The victim recounted that she was able to get away from the suspect and then hit him on the head with her purse before fleeing and calling the police, according to a recently released search warrant affidavit.
A Fairfax County man is out on bond after allegedly abducting and sexually assaulting two women at the Braddock Road and Potomac Yard Metro stations last month.
Jeffrey Gary, 35, a Georgetown Law graduate, was employed as an assistant division chief by the Federal Communications Commission up until his June 1 arrest. He was released Friday (June 13) on four bonds totaling $14,000, according to court records.

“The suspect pinned both of her forearms down and she fought to break free,” police said a recently released search warrant affidavit. “(The victim) said she realized the suspect was fully naked when he was on top of her and she saw his penis. (The victim) tried to push him away specifically with her right hand to the suspect’s left arm. (The victim) said she yelled and the suspect covered her mouth with his hand. The suspect told her, ‘Do you want to die?'”
A 48-year-old Maryland man is being held without bond after allegedly abducting his ex-girlfriend in her luxury apartment in Alexandria’s Carlyle neighborhood.
The incident occurred on the morning of Jan. 28 (Tuesday) in an apartment in the 800 block of John Carlyle Street. Just after 9:30 a.m., a woman called 911 to report an abduction of her friend by her friend’s ex-boyfriend.
A woman was uninjured in an attempted abduction Tuesday evening, and the Alexandria Police Department is asking the public for help.
