No one was reported injured after multiple shots were reported in a West End residential neighborhood on Sunday night.
The Alexandria Police Department got multiple calls for five-to-six gunshots in the 1400 block of N. Beauregard Street at around 7:30 p.m. The incident occurred in a residential area near Dora Kelley Nature Center and William Ramsay Elementary School.
Alexandria residents might notice a slight dip in their water bill soon thanks to a recent fight in the State Corporation Commission (SCC).
In a release, the City of Alexandria said city attorneys successfully objected to water overcharges by the Virginia American Water Company (VAWC) from 2019-2021.

A number of Del Ray residents locked arms around an oak tree slated for removal at Eugene Simpson Stadium Park in Del Ray on Wednesday, only days after City Council approved a plan to renovate the park.
Gisele McAuliffe, a 30-year Del Ray resident, says that the city’s approved plan to renovate the park will come at too great a cost — the removal of 40 trees. The age of the trees is in dispute, as the city says the oldest trees on the property were planted in the 1940s, while McAuliffe and her friends measured the trees and claim they are upward of 100 years old.
