The big news today: snow.

In case you haven’t looked outside, there’s snow all across the city.

Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) canceled school today and opted to give students and teachers a traditional snow day rather than switch to remote learning.

The DASH bus system is operating its regular weekday service with minor snow detours. WMATA said that Metrobus will be operating under its severe snow plan, with bus travel limited to major roads.

For locals in the federal government:  the Office of Personnel Management said ‘maximum telework‘ is in effect, so no “traditional snow day” for federal workers or local reporters.
