Named after the Bronte siblings, Branwell and Charlotte are two sweet kittens up for adoption at the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria.
Branwell and Charlotte are two of the most happiest kittens and would make wonderful companions, according to AWLA spokesperson Erin Shackelford. Branwell is a handsome black and white male kitten, and Charlotte is a beautiful gray and white female kitten.

Wednesday night, the weather will be partly cloudy during the early evening, transitioning to cloudy skies, and a low around 64°F. A north wind at around 10 mph is also anticipated.

Rain and thunderstorms are more likely Tuesday night, with a 70% chance of precipitation, a low near 70°F, and light winds. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half an inch are possible.

East winds will blow at 6 to 8 mph, and the chance of precipitation during the day is 40%. Monday night will also see a likelihood of showers, with a cloudy sky and a low temperature around 70°F. Winds will continue at 5 to 8 mph from the east, with a 50% chance of precipitation.
(Updated on 8/27/23) Alexandria police are on scene of multiple shootings in the city.
First, a man was shot in the Arlandria neighborhood around 7:45 p.m. Saturday. The shooting happened on the 3800 block of Florence Drive, in the parking lot of an apartment building, and was phoned in to 911 by a child caller, according to scanner traffic.
