The manager of a Vietnamese restaurant in Old Town North said a DoorDash driver stole an estimated $200 from the business’ tip jar, WUSA9 reported.
Randy Phillips, a manager at Sunday in Saigon (682 N St Asaph Street), told WUSA9 the driver came in to pick up a DoorDash order. Surveillance video shared by the restaurant clearly showed the driver putting his hand into the tip jar and taking money multiple times once the employee turned their back.
Phillips told WUSA9 there was likely around $200 worth of tips in the jar. DoorDash has since removed the driver from their app and said they’ll provide a payment to the restaurant to make up for the funds that were stolen.
