The long-awaited Ted’s Bulletin is landing at Alexandria’s Carlyle Crossing development later in November.
D.C.-based hospitality company Catalogue announced the opening of Ted’s Bulletin at 2471 Mandeville Lane on Tuesday, Nov. 17. This will be the ninth location for the brand, joining four others in Northern Virginia, three in D.C. and one in Maryland.
The restaurant is known for its homemade Pop Tart-style Ted’s Tarts and all-day breakfast menu with options like eggs, pancakes, French toast, crab cake Benedict, Norway Benedict, steak and eggs, chicken and biscuits and more. There is also a lunch and dinner menu with wraps, burgers, steaks, short rib pot roast, chicken Parmesan and other entrees as well as a children’s menu.
Beer, wine and cocktails served from a full bar round out the menu. Happy hour will be offered from 3-6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The owners of Ted’s Bulletin are brothers Steve and Nick Salis. Ted’s Bulletin, first opened by brothers Mark Neal and Ty Neal with Matchbox Food Group co-founder Drew Kim in D.C.’s Capitol Hill in 2010, was acquired by &pizza co-founder Steve Salis in 2017.
“Alexandria is home for me, so opening a Ted’s Bulletin here feels especially personal,” Nick Salis said. “Having the opportunity to bring a brand we’ve spent years building to my own community is something I’m incredibly excited about.”
The new restaurant has a 143-seat dining room, 26-seat bar, 40-seat outdoor patio and three private dining rooms for up to a total of 32 people. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be served 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Dine-in, takeout and delivery service will be available. Reservations through OpenTable open on Nov. 3.
The Ted’s Bulletin opening comes as sister brand Honeymoon Chicken prepares to open next door at 2461 Mandeville Lane. The owners say diners will be able to pair buckets of chicken with champagne and caviar service. The D.C.-based fried chicken spot, known for its signature honey-dusted fried chicken and sweet-and-spicy hot honey, will announce an opening date and details at a later time.
