Polls Are Open — They’ll remain open until 7 p.m. Nearly 30% of the city’s registered voters have already cast early ballots — a notable increase compared to November 2021’s early voting numbers. Road Closures Coming Next Week — “The City of Alexandria will be conducting investigation and testing work on the streets surrounding City Hall from Nov. 13-20.” N. City Hall Restoration Plans for Review Tomorrow — At 7 p.m. Wednesday, the Board of Architectural Review will consider an unfinished business item: a request for alterations at City Hall (301 King Street) and its adjacent Market Square garage. Sewer Project Open House This Thursday — The open house will address the upcoming improvement project at N. Columbus Street. “Construction on the $1 million project is expected to begin in December at the 600 block of N. Columbus Street and last until November 2026. City plans entail disconnecting the area’s sewer line from the combined sewer and connecting to a separated sewer line.” The event kicks off at 7 p.m. at the Charles Houston Rec Center. [ALXnow]
