Just as the Delian League brought together an alliance of Greek city-states, The Big Greek Cafe is uniting SouvlakiBar locations around the region under a new banner.

Patch reported that SouvlakiBar, which has a location at 2732 Richmond Highway in the Potomac Yard neighborhood, will be transitioning to The Big Greek Cafe, a Maryland-based local chain with nine locations

With pocketbooks lighter from the holidays, it’s a good thing that Alexandria Restaurant Week is around the corner.

Nearly 100 restaurants are participating from Jan. 31 to Feb. 9, by offering multi-course dinner menus for $30-to-$50 per person in neighborhoods across the city.

BRABO Brasserie at 1600 King Street is getting replaced with a new location from the Midwest breakfast/brunch restaurant chain HomeGrown: A Daytime Eatery.

The restaurant is located inside the Archer Hotel Old Town Alexandria, which took over the space from Lorien Hotel and Spa earlier this year.
