Want to shake it off in style? Get in line.

Since opening earlier this month, it’s become common to see long lines of customers waiting to get into Eras, the new Taylor Swift-themed pop-up bar in Del Ray.

“Del Ray has never seen anything like this,” pop-up owner Bill Blackburn told ALXnow. “Business is strong and the demand to check it out has been unbelievable.”

Each section of the seasonal popup at 2312 Mount Vernon Avenue represents one of Swift’s albums — Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, Reputation and Folklore. There’s even a hall with portraits of her ex-boyfriends.

On Saturday, Blackburn set up an outdoor food and beer station for patrons waiting in line.

Manager Tim Niebaur said he’s never seen anything like it in his 10 years in the restaurant industry.

“We see lines every day waiting for us to open. Friday, Saturday and Sunday there is a line all afternoon and evening,” Niebaur said. “The entire bar sings along with the hits, and it creates a really unique pop-up experience.”

Maybe the description on Visit Alexandria describes the bar best:

From the moment you walk in, you’ll be surrounded by themed décor that transports you through her different musical chapters, with each era inspiring its own unique ambiance. Our carefully curated cocktail menu reflects the essence of Taylor’s evolution, featuring a signature drink dedicated to each era, bringing her music to life in every sip.

With special events, Swiftie-inspired activities, and surprise moments along the way, fans can truly embrace the magic of Taylor Swift in a way they’ve never experienced before. Whether you’re a die-hard Swiftie or just love creative cocktails, this is one pop-up you won’t want to miss!
