It doesn’t cost anything to adopt Jordan. The 13-month-old brown and white spotted male cat is currently up for adoption with the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria.
“Jordan is a goofy cat who loves flopping all over the place to show off his belly when playing,” said AWLA spokesperson Gina Hardter. “He also enjoys rubbing noses with his human foster family.”
Biscotti might be past her kittenish antics, but the 10-year-old black-and-white cat is super sweet and available for adoption via the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria.
“You don’t need to worry about her needing a lot of toys or climbing up your curtains,” AWLA spokesperson Gina Hardter told ALXnow. “She’s far happier hanging out with her human friends and settling in for some chin rubs and ear scratches.”
An avalanche of cats might be a catastrophe, but adopting one named “Avalanche” is an entirely different matter altogether.

Onyx, 8-year-old black male cat, is up for adoption via the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria.
“A vigilant protector, Onyx may not be a lap cat but prefers to sit near to his favorite people, to ensure they are safe from attackers, but not too far that they can’t give him all the attention he asks for,” AWLA spokesperson Gina Hardter told ALXnow. “Don’t worry, Onyx will let you know when it’s enough.”
The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria has a clever cat on its hands. Remus, a three-year-old male black cat, has learned a number of tricks with clicker training.
“Just like a dog, cats can learn tricks through clicker-training, and Remus is such a clever cookie that he’s been doing just that,” AWLA spokesperson Gina Hardter told ALXnow. “In exchange for learning tricks like Sit, Spin, and High Five, Remus has been teaching the staff at the AWLA how to give treats, give more treats, and don’t stop giving treats.”
