No injuries were reported after a man was reportedly robbed at knifepoint in Arlandria early Monday morning (July 21).

The Alexandria Police Department was called at approximately 1 a.m. by a man who had been robbed in the 3800 block of Russell Road. The victim told police that he was robbed of his wallet by three men with knives.


The Old Town Run Club is gearing up for a special Meet & Greet Charity Fundraiser that promises to blend community spirit with meaningful charitable giving. A taste of the French Quarter has arrived in Fairfax County with the opening this week of PJ’s Coffee‘s first Virginia location at the South Alex development on North Kings Highway.

After more than two weeks of voting, Alexandria residents have spoken: The Chewish Deli reigns supreme as the city’s best bagel shop, according to ALXnow’s latest Readers’ Choice poll.

The Chewish Deli captured 46.53% of the vote with 2,502 ballots cast in their favor during the polling period that ran from June 15 through July 1, 2025. But the victory wasn’t a landslide—Bagel Uprising mounted a strong challenge, finishing a close second with 41.57% of votes and 2,235 supporters.
