Wells Fargo Bank on N. Washington Street wants to remove drive-thru window and more

Some noticeable exterior changes at Wells Fargo Bank at 330 N. Washington Street are heading to the Alexandria Board of Architectural Review.

The bank is requesting permission from the city to remove its drive-thru window, replace a window with a night deposit box, and make other modifications to the 20,000-square-foot building.

The BAR will review the proposal on Wednesday, June 18.

Wells Fargo, in their application, describes the following:

Exterior work to include encapsulation of two windows, including the drive through window and one window to be replaced with a night deposit box. The total square footage of the windows to be encapsulated exceeds 25 square feet. Demolition of the two existing entrances and replacement with new. Exterior work to include replacing ATM on Princess Street frontage and adding vinyl directional covering on clear doors on N. Washington Street frontage. Two windows, one drive through and one on Princess Street frontage, to be encapsulated.
