Northern Virginia brewery Crooked Run Fermentation is planning to expand its footprint with a new location in Alexandria’s Del Ray neighborhood.
After filing for a Virginia ABC permit earlier this year, the brewery confirmed it is planning a Crooked Run Brewery Taproom at 2003 Mount Vernon Avenue, the former location of Dolce & Bean. Crooked Run Fermentation, founded in Leesburg in 2013, also has a production facility and taproom in Sterling and a location at D.C.’s Union Market.
The brewery specializes in producing beers with Virginia-grown ingredients, natural wines, ciders and seltzers. The Del Ray taproom will serve Crooked Run’s beers, wine, cocktails and handmade twists on bar bites such as chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks.
“Think Leesburg vibes with a thoughtful and expressive design that shows our personal growth these past few years,” the brewery shared on Facebook. “We’re so happy to be able to finally announce this and as always, thank you for the support over these past few years.”
The brewery is currently working through design and permitting and aims to open in Del Ray later this year.
