The Alexandria Chamber of Commerce announced Sunday that its Nominating Committee is now accepting letters of recommendation and expressions of interest for upcoming board positions. The positions available include Director, Chair-Elect, and Vice Chairs, with all submissions due by September 1, 2025.

According to the announcement, the Nominating Committee has the authority to nominate any eligible member in good standing to fill the available positions. The committee will present its slate of nominees during the September 2025 board meeting, with the formal voting scheduled for the November 2025 board meeting.

The new leadership term will begin January 1, 2026. The Chamber maintains specific term limits for board service: no Director may serve more than two consecutive three-year terms, and no individual may serve more than four total three-year terms on the board.

Interested members and those wishing to recommend candidates should direct their letters to Joe Haggerty at [email protected] by September 1. The Alexandria Chamber of Commerce’s structured nomination and voting process spans several months, allowing time for thorough candidate review and member consideration before the new board takes office in January.
