Another busy week in Alexandria!

One of the biggest stories was the identification of the cause of a fire that shut down three Old Town stores in November.

The cause of the fire was the explosion of a lithium battery inside a point-of-service machine in Madam Coco’s.

““It’s a freak accident from the POS machine,” said Madam Coco’s owner Stacey Wharam . “A lithium battery exploded.”
