It’s the penultimate week of the year and it was a busy one.
The biggest story this week was a series of fights at Alexandria City High School on Wednesday. Two students were arrested for assault and battery.
Alexandria City Public Schools closed the campus and switched to virtual learning on Thursday and Friday (today) with a pledge from the the school division that administration will work to devise a plan for additional measures to be implemented early next year. Superintendent Melanie Kay-Wyatt said “the plan will include severe consequences for any disruptive behavior.”
