True crime documentary series Payback released an episode earlier this month about the 2016 murders of Saquan Hall and Pierre Clark.

On June 8, Clark — recently released from jail and set on turning his life around — was shot and killed on the 1000 block of Montgomery Street. The word on the street was that the killer was one of his enemies, Saquan Hall, a man Pierre Clark had allegedly previously non-fatally shot.

The murder was still under investigation when, on July 2, Hall was shot and killed on the 1000 block of First Street by Dijuan Clark, Pierre Clark’s brother. Dijuan Clark was ultimately sentenced to 31 years in prison.

The documentary interviews police, prosecutors, ALXnow reporter Vernon Miles, and members of Hall’s family who described the cycle of revenge that led up to the murders.
