A key Alexandria leader wants the planned Route 7 bus rapid transit (BRT) network to serve as a statewide transportation blueprint.

The Northern Virginia Transportation Commission plans to elect Alexandria Vice Mayor Sarah Bagley as its new chair this week.

The project is currently undergoing a mobility study looking over traffic operations and impact, with a particular eye toward the Falls Church segment.
