According to the Alzheimer’s Association, two-thirds of Americans have at least one major risk factor for dementia. Yet only 16% of older adults receive routine cognitive assessments during their checkups — leaving many without the chance to detect early signs of cognitive change or engage in meaningful conversations with a healthcare provider about brain health.

Sunday Health, a modern cognitive care practice with a newly opened office in Vienna, VA, is working to change that. We’re redefining how Americans approach cognitive decline, shifting from a reactive to a proactive model, with a focus on prevention, early intervention, and ongoing care.

Inspired by local physicians who were among the nation’s first to adopt the concierge medicine model, Northern Virginia is now a hub for its surging popularity. These leading concierge physicians are redefining the patient experience with same-day appointments, unhurried visits, and deeply personalized care:

When Priya Mathur, MD, left a large medical group to join NOVAMED Associates, she noticed the difference immediately. “Now I can fully listen to patients who often don’t feel heard by busy doctors,” she says, “and delve into lifestyle habits that may be at the root of a patient’s sickness. Having the time to know each patient as a person is the true gift of concierge medicine.”
