About 2,500 homes lost power Monday morning (Sept. 14) in the city’s Arlandria neighborhood and in Arlington’s Long Branch Creek and Arlington Ridge neighborhoods.
The outage was reported around 11 a.m, and was caused by a fallen tree limb on power lines, according to Dominion Energy. More than 80 additional customers around Arlandria were experiencing outages due to an unspecified cause.
Dominion Energy crews are on scene to assess damage. The electric utility estimates that power will be restored between 2-5 p.m., according to the utility’s outage map.
