Three arrested after teen stabbed in Alexandria’s West End

Two teenagers and an adult were arrested and charged with malicious wounding after an alleged attempted robbery that left a teenager with non-life-threatening stab wounds in Alexandria’s West End.

The victim reported the incident to police at around 3:20 p.m. Thursday, April 23 in the 2100 block of N. Early Street, which is near the intersection with W. Braddock Road. The victim told police he was approached by four Hispanic males, and that one of them — wearing a black ski mask and holding a knife — stabbed him in the face, according to Alexandria Police Department dispatches.

According to dispatches, the victim told police he knows the suspects, that they are members of the gang MS-13 out of D.C. and that they fled the scene on electric scooters.

APD said the victim suffered several lacerations and was transported to Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington.

“Three suspects fled the area on scooters,” APD told ALXnow. “The incident is believed to have stemmed from an attempted robbery.”

Two juveniles and an adult believed to have been involved were arrested and charged with malicious wounding. APD did not disclose the identity of the adult and does not typically identify juvenile suspects. Police did not comment on the victim’s claim that the suspects were MS-13 members.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information can contact APD’s non-emergency line at 703-746-4444. Callers may remain anonymous.
