Adoptable Pet of the Week: Drako, a playful companion

Meet Drako, a one-year-old pup at the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria who is ready to explore the world with a new family.

Drako “would be a lovely companion on weekend road-trips and sniffy neighborhood walks,” an AWLA volunteer wrote. He’s also confident and easygoing around other dogs, and “never passed on making a new friend,” according to his pet profile.

“He’s a young, social and outgoing pup who’s ready for a bright tomorrow with a family that loves him,” the profile reads.

Along with socializing, Drako enjoys trips to the park and would be “an excellent partner for training time.” He currently weighs 54 pounds.

“If this confident and affectionate dog seems like a good fit for your household, then reach out to arrange a meet-and-greet,” the volunteer wrote. “Contact the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria to meet Drako today!”

Drako can be visited during the shelter’s regular adoption hours.
