Old Town crafting store fibre space (1319 Prince Street) is hosting its annual “samples sale” to benefit local nonprofit Friends of Guest House.
While the store typically only sells yarn and other raw materials, the samples sale is one of the few opportunities to buy hand-knitted and crocheted items from the store. The sale runs from noon to 2 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday).
“We do this once a year and it’s become a big hit since ppl always want to buy our shop samples and they aren’t usually for sale,” said owner Danielle Romanetti.
The sale includes items handmade by locals but never worn and donated to the store.
The sale is part of Spring2Action, an annual charity event in Alexandria. All proceeds go to Friends of Guest House, a local organization that helps women reenter the community after incarceration.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.
You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.
It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
