Upcoming restaurant weeks will feature deals from more than 85 Alexandria eateries

Foodies will have two opportunities to score dining deals from restaurants across Alexandria in the coming weeks.

In Alexandria, 11 eateries plan to offer prix-fixe menu deals through the Metropolitan Washington Winter Restaurant Week, which returns Monday, Jan. 19 through Sunday, Jan. 25. Hosted biannually in the winter and summer by the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington, the week features multi-course meal deals at participating D.C.-area restaurants.

Participating eateries may offer $25 or $35 brunch or lunch and $40, $55 or $65 dinner.

Then, on Friday, Jan. 23, the city’s own biannual Alexandria Restaurant Week will return, featuring deals at nearly 90 restaurants through Sunday, Feb. 1. Full-service restaurants will offer multi-course dinner menus for $35, $45 or $55 per person, and fast-casual restaurants will offer their own specials for the promotion, which is hosted by Visit Alexandria.

New participants in Alexandria restaurant include Neapolitan pizzeria Pupatella, Mediterranean eatery Valletta Port, Central America-focused LaPluma Coffee & Wine and Continues Arcade, with a menu from executive chef Brian Lacayo and chef advisor Spike Mendelsohn.

A digital menu book detailing prix fixe menus and deals is available from Visit Alexandria, and RAMW week diners can browse a full list of D.C.-area restaurants on the association’s website.
