Injured man charged in Arlandria quadruple shooting

Four people are now in stable condition after a shooting in Alexandria’s Arlandria neighborhood early Monday (May 26).

The Alexandria Police Department (APD) is looking into the incident, which happened in the 3800 block of Florence Drive. Three men and one woman were shot.

Police first reported the incident at 4:37 a.m., saying two men had been taken to the hospital. By 7:40 a.m., they updated that four people were getting medical care, all stable.

Later, at 10:23 p.m., APD shared that one of the injured men, from Falls Church, has been charged with several offenses.

These charges include malicious wounding, using a firearm while committing a felony, and having a firearm as a felon. The suspect is still in the hospital under the watch of the Alexandria Sheriff’s Office.

Early findings suggest the incident didn’t start in Alexandria. It seems to have begun with an argument involving a woman in Woodbridge, Virginia.

Police have found a gun and 30 shell casings at the scene.

The investigation is still ongoing. APD asks anyone with information about this shooting to call their non-emergency number at 703-746-4444.
