A planned bus rapid transit service (BRT) from Tysons to Alexandria took another step forward last week, FFXnow reported.

The Northern Virginia Transportation Commission (NVTC) voted on Thursday to send out requests for proposals to firms interested in studying the easternmost part of the proposed Route 7 BRT from Seven Corners to Alexandria.

FFXnow reported that the contract is expected to be ratified in March, after which the firm will have 18 months to complete the work and determine, among other things, if the route should end at Southern Towers apartments or the Mark Center.
