Notes: New Amazon Fresh opening at Bailey’s Crossroads next week

A new Amazon Fresh is set to open in Bailey’s Crossroads just west of Alexandria next week.

The grocery chain is opening at the Crossroads Center strip mall at 5811 Crossroads Center Way on Thursday, Dec. 12.

The store will feature Amazon’s “Just Walk Out” shopping, which uses cameras to monitor shoppers as they fill their carts, allowing them to be automatically billed via their Amazon account instead of having to stop at a checkout line.

The Bailey’s Crossroads location is the latest in a string of openings around the region, including one in the Potomac Yard Shopping Center earlier this year.
