Baku Delicious, a Fairfax cafe and bakery specializing in Azerbaijani cuisine, is opening a new location at 711 Pendleton Street next year.
Owner Sevda Tahirli filed a permit with the City of Alexandria to open an “art cafe, serving freshly baked pastries, coffee and teas.”
The shop will be open every day from 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
Baku Delicious first opened in 2016 and, beyond just its selection of pastries and dishes from the Caucasus, the cafe also hosts classes and special events.
711 Pendleton Street was one of two locations rezoned last year from residential to commercial.
Tahirli told ALXnow that the plan is currently to open Baku Delicious sometime in 2025.
