Christmas-themed pop-up bar Joy on the Avenue opened last night in Del Ray.
This is the fourth year the pop-up bar will be open for the holidays at 2312 Mount Vernon Avenue.
Owner Bill Blackburn said there will be a refreshed menu and holiday decorations. He also said that the pop-up bar, like the lighting of the Del Ray Christmas tree, is now a tradition for the neighborhood.
“Joy on the Avenue is a reminder that no matter what happens, we keep moving forward,” Blackburn said. “We will stylishly celebrate Christmas and all these traditions with our friends, family and neighbors.”
Joy on the Avenue will be around until the first week of January, when it will end with a Festivus party.
