The Alexandria Police Department says that the shooting death of a 23-year-old resident Saturday night (Oct. 19) is a homicide, and released the identity of the victim.
Carl Harris was found in a parking lot of an apartment building in the 800 block of Manor Road just before 8 p.m. He was put into an SUV and driven to Inova Alexandria Hospital, but was dead on arrival, according to police dispatches.
Witnesses told police that four males in ski masks were seen standing near the body and fled the scene, according to dispatch. The first suspect was described as wearing a black jacket, black skinny jeans, a black ski mask and black Nike Air Jordans; the second suspect was described as only wearing a ski mask, the third suspect was reported as wearing a navy-colored hoodie; and the fourth suspect was a skinny, tall male with a gray sweater, and black skinny jeans.
“Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident and canvassing the area,” APD said in a release.
