Notes: Five injured and 25 residents displaced after Stevenson Avenue apartment fire

The City of Alexandria said five people received non-life-threatening injuries and 25 were displaced in a fire in the Landmark area yesterday.

A release from the City said the Red Cross is assisting the 25 displaced residents from 17 apartments affected by the fire.

Two residents and three firefighters were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

“According to a preliminary investigation, the cause of the fire was accidental,” the release said.
