Notes: Early voting starts today in Alexandria

As night falls on Friday, the skies will remain mostly clear, with temperatures dipping to a low of around 64 degrees and a gentle southeast breeze averaging between 3 to 6 mph.

Early voting is starting today in Alexandria.

It’s just about a full suite on the ballot this year, with contests from President down to City Council and School Board.

Those registered to vote in Alexandria can submit their votes at the Office of Voter Registration and Elections (132 N. Royal Street) from Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. A list of extended and weekend hours is available on the city’s website.

Early voting will also open at the Beatley Central Library (5005 Duke Street) on Oct. 21. Early voting will be available at the Minnie Howard Campus of Alexandria City High School (3775 W. Braddock Road) and George Washington Middle School (1005 Mount Vernon Avenue) during select weekends in late October/early November.

Voters can also vote by mail by requesting a ballot online.
