Monday was the final day for families to enjoy Great Waves Water Park for the summer 2024 season.
DC News Now spoke with parents and kids at the park, many expressing melancholy for the end of the summer, but excitement for the start of the school year.
There are still other summer events being run by NOVA Parks this month and the park usually reopens in the winter for an ice skating and winter lights festival.
