The Judy Lowe Neighborhood Park (7 E Del Ray Avenue) is reopening… kind of.

Around a week after the City of Alexandria closed the park at the request of the Secret Service, the City said the park is reopening with a “modified schedule with intermittent closures until further notice.”

The status of the park will be communicated daily on the park website. Today (Monday) the park is closed.

There is still no on-street parking permitted on the unit block of E. Del Ray Avenue until further notice.

According to the City:

During the temporary schedule, the status of the park and street will be communicated daily on the City’s Judy Lowe Neighborhood Park webpage and through signage posted at the park entrance indicating whether the park is open or closed.

When the park is open, all residents will have access to the park via Commonwealth Ave., and the unit block of E. Del Ray Ave. will be open.
