Old Town yarn shop fibre space (1319 Prince Street) is still feeling the benefit of a 2021 visit from Vice President Kamala Harris, the Washington Business Journal reported.

The Washington Business Journal said the visit was timed for the height of the Covid pandemic to help support small businesses, and for fibre space, it led to a 14% jump in revenue and saw additional subscribers to a newsletter that remain to this day.

Owner Danielle Romanetti ordered enamel pins depicting Harris with crocheting materials. Romanetti told the Washington Business Journal that they only sold about a quarter of them back in 2021, but sales — which benefit local nonprofit ALIVE! — took of dramatically after Biden resigned and Kamala became the presumptive Democratic nominee for President.
