It’s been a busy week in Alexandria! There was some conversation and contention about the top story: King Street being ranked by Architectural Digest as one of the 71 most beautiful streets in the world.

“Architectural Digest out here just telling bold face lies,” one commentor said, while another called King Street the jewel of the city.

Despite some naysayers, can be stunningly beautiful and is one of the most iconic stretches of the city where it runs through Old Town, though admittedly it loses some of that lustor west of the George Washington Masonic National Memorial.
