Police searched for National Harbor homicide suspect in Alexandria

Dayon Neal (via Prince George’s County)

The Alexandria Police Department says that the at-large suspect in last month’s shooting homicide in a parking garage at the MGM National Harbor has ties across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge in Alexandria.

Neal is accused of shooting and killing 37-year-old Daniel Antonio Thomas, of D.C., in a parking garage in the 100 block of MGM National Avenue on May 11. PGPD said in a release that Thomas died of several gunshot wounds.

According to a recently released search warrant affidavit, APD began assisting the Prince George’s County Police Department in its investigation into the incident on May 14.

“Mr. Neal currently has six open warrants through Prince George’s County in Maryland,” APD said in a recently released search warrant affidavit. “Through the investigation into this suspect, Mr. Neal is currently believed to be in the City of Alexandria and has ties here.”

PGPD is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to Neal’s arrest.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact PGPD detectives at 301-516-2512.
