Warning at the National Weather Service (image via National Weather Service)

The big winter storm talked up last week turned out to be kind of a dud around Alexandria this weekend, but another storm could be rolling into the region sometime this week.

Unfortunately, the forecast isn’t calling for snow this time around.

The forecast calls for rain starting sometime tomorrow, with a 100% chance of precipitation. A flood watch is in effect for 1 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday) through 7 a.m. on Wednesday.

The National Weather Service said a coastal flood watch is also in effect for the same timeframe, meaning flooding is likely along the Old Town waterfront.
