Notes: Old Town sandwich shop Lori’s Table closes

Alexandria sandwich shop Lori’s Table closed this week, Alexandria Living Magazine reported.

The restaurant at 1028 King Street opened in 2017 and served paninis, deli sandwiches, soups and salads.

“It is with a heavy heart we announce the closing of Lori’s Table in Old Town Alexandria Virginia,” owner Lori Leetz wrote on Facebook. “It has been my great honor and privilege to serve you these past years. Your loyalty and support has been instrumental in helping us stay open through good and tough times.”

A new restaurant, Ben’yays, has filed a permit to take over the location, but the owner told ALXnow that the restaurant is still in the permitting phase and couldn’t share more information just yet.
