The Courthouse Square building at 510 King Street in Old Town has been sold just two years after it was bought by Brookfield Properties, the Washington Business Journal reported.
The site, which was purchased in 2021 for $26 million, was sold to Melrose Alexandria Holdings LLC for $29.5 million. The 1981 building, which is connected to the eponymous courthouse, contains Starbucks, la Madeline, a bunch of law firms and more.
The Washington Business Journal noted that this sale leaves Brookfield with only one property left in Alexandria: the Cameron Court apartment complex off Eisenhower.
